Mobile-edge computing (MEC) is a promising technology to enable real-time information transmission and computing by offloading computation tasks from wireless devices to network edge. However, as MEC server is located at network edge, its computation capacity should be finite, especially in the networks with intensive workloads. In this talk, we will consider two types of computation capacity constraints. The first is that the computable data at the MEC server is finite, and the other is virtual machine scheduling for multi-task parallel computation. Several interesting insights are obtained for pract
ical designs.
主讲人介绍:
        Dr. Yuan Liu received his PhD degree from the Electronic Engineering Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2013, and then joined the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of South China University of Technology, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His current research interests include 5G communications and beyond, mobile edge computation offloading, and machine learning in wireless networks. Dr. Yuan Liu serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Access. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
